| Lame Parties |
| 08.21.04 (5:02 am) [edit] |

BLACK
I'm a bit of sad today, and frustrated.
I got home at around 4:30 am from a bar at malate. Everything's cool, I've even danced for the first time.. (lolz). But... I don't know. I think I've just reached my point of satiety for this kind of activity. The bands are playing the same old type of music (my ears just want something new, probably. Yes, I'm ready for the Next Episode... duh) The people looked all the same (the only person I find cute was the fingerplay's band drummer). I feel the insincerety of it all. I suddenly wonder why they are there. Is it because of the opportunity of finding a new friend? Or is it because they don't know where to squander their hard-earned money? Me? I attend parties because of music (and the different kind of hype I feel when I'm dancing, though I really look so stupid when I'm dancing)
Yes, I'm beginning to believe that most parties are truly lame.
No classes today. Thanks to Ninoy Aquino.

| Philippine Politicians.. bow. |

From www.highfiber.org
A friend has been a Travel Agent for 30 Years. She says, of her 30 years of taking reservation requests from government officials, we are all in trouble. Here's a few choice reservation questions from these bright people.
Senator Tessie Oreta asked for an aisle seat so that her hair wouldn't get messed up by being near the window.
I got a call from ex-Mayor Joey Marquez, who wanted to go to Capetown. Explaining the length of the flight and passport information, he interrupted me with, "I'm not trying to make you look stupid, but Capetown is in Massachusetts." Without trying to make him look like the stupid one, I calmly explained, "Cape Cod is in Massachusetts, Capetown is in Africa." His response ..(click).
Congressman Mark Lapid called, furious about a Florida package we did for him and tv star Kris Aquino. I asked what was wrong with the vacation in Orlando. He said he was expecting an ocean-view room. I tried to Explain that was not possible since Orlando is in the middle of the state. He replied, "Don't lie to me. I looked on the map and Florida is a very thin state!" (so he expected to see the ocean on both sides of the hotel?!)
Sen Ralph Recto's wife asked, "Is it possible to see England from Canada?" I said, "No." She said, "But they look so close on the map."
Senator Lito Lapid asked if he could rent a car in Dallas. I noticed he had only an hour lay-over in Dallas. When asked why he wanted to rent a car, he said, "I heard Dallas was a big airport, and we will need a car to drive between the gates to save time."
Senator Jinggoy Estrada called last week. He needed to know how it was possible that his flight from Detroit left at 8:20 a.m. and got into Chicago at 8:33 a.m. I tried to explain that Michigan was an hour ahead of Illinois, but he could not understand the concept of time zones. Finally, I told him the plane went very fast, and he bought that!
Congressman Ronaldo Zamora asked, "Do airlines put your physical description on your bag so they know whose luggage belongs to whom?" I said, "No, why do you ask?" He replied, "Well, when I checked in with the airline, they put a tag on my luggage that said FAT, and I'm overweight. I think that is very rude!" I looked into it and explained the city code for Fresno, California is (FAT), and the airline was just putting a destination tag on his luggage.
Former presidentiable now tv star Eddie Gil inquired about a trip package to Hawaii. After going over all the cost info, he asked, "Would it be cheaper to fly to California and take the train to Hawaii?"
I just got off the phone with Senator Bong Revilla who asked, "How do I know which plane to get on?" I asked him what exactly he meant, to which he replied, "I was told my flight number is 823, but none of these darn planes have numbers on them."
VP Noli De Castro asked, "I need to fly to Pepsi-Cola, FL. Do I have to get on one of those twin engine planes?" I asked if he meant fly to Pensacola, FL on a commuter plane. He said, "Yeah, whatever!"
Congressman Dilangalen called and had a question about the documents needed to fly to China. I reminded him he needed a visa. "Oh, no I don't. I've been to China many times and never had to have one of those." I double checked and sure enough, his stay required a visa. When I told him this, he said, "Look, I've been to China four times and everytime they accepted my American Express!"
Senator Miriam Defensor called to make reservations, "I want to go from Chicago to Rhino, New York." The agent said, "Are you sure that's the name of the town?" "Yes, what flights do you have?" replied the lady. After some searching, the agent came back with, "I'm sorry, ma'am, I've looked up every airport code in the country and can't find a Rhino anywhere." The lady retorted, "Oh, don't be silly! Everyone knows where it is. Check your map!" The agent scoured a map of the state of New York and finally offered, "You don't mean Buffalo, do you?" "That's it! I knew it was a big animal," she said.

| One untitled Poem of mine... |
| 08.12.04 (8:20 am) [edit] |
Here we are, lips locked hands entwined without even knowing, how it all started.. or what we really are to each other; maybe strangers - both looking for love maybe friends - but usual feelings surpassed.
Where are we tomorrow? Maybe separated - by time or space, but binded by feelings unexplained Maybe together - sharing moments that don't belong to us just like you, who is not really mine...
But we don't mind tomorrow, we'll just savour every minute of today... and here we are, lips locked. hands entwined.

I just want to share this:
"Ugliness is not necessarily the absence of beauty but a different kind of visual perception"
I really can't afford to blog today, I'm in school...

| Sing for the moment... |
| 08.09.04 (10:25 pm) [edit] |
|
"Sing with me, sing for the year Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear Sing with me now, just for today Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away.."
From Verdana to Tahoma.
Another shout I received yesterday, so I locked myself up again inside my room and let the pillow catch the warm fluid running down my face. Why is it that when somebody hurt you, you suddenly remember the other people in the past who have caused you pain? Then you'll start to pity yourself and you'll end up realizing that there's really nothing in this world still worth living for. Not even your family... especially in my case.
That was yesterday. Today is of a different story. I'm with my blockmates and laughed with them. Hey! I'm beginning to truly like them (only some though). Especially when we went to Pier One at the Fort... I enjoyed talking with them. Then I remembered the 4Aers and my other friends... this life is still worth living.

| Physical Attraction |
| 08.04.04 (5:43 am) [edit] |
|
Physical attraction - this is what everybody is all about! The world of superficiality endeared so much by almost the entire population of the naive. Did I wish I to be emptied and be "pretty" instead in exchange for approbation from the modern-day dictator called the "society"? Of course not! I will not go with the flow, I've been through that kind of nonsense already. I'm not appealing like everybody else is, but I will prove to them that you don't have to be a Goddess to be liked and be loved. The heart is anything but shallow. That love can see through the stunning clothes, halle berry-like faces and jennifer lopez-like bodies.
It's all so depressing... how some individuals can be deceived by a simple batting of the lashes or one shot of a killer smile. How they easily give-in and fall for an effortless love song hummed through the strings of a guitar or a small talk made through the phone or a magical coversation of two pairs of eyes. How they ignore the inner beauty, disregard attitudes and personalities - the actual must-haves of a real person, just because of the need to brag somebody who will be accepted and adored by the same dull-minded ordinary people.

| Ignorance is Bliss? |
| 08.03.04 (6:12 pm) [edit] |
|
" talking burdens around me, messing my head, now everything's blurry..."
I haven't received my Speech Class grade today. My Professor said I missed some of the needed requirements, I think I missed one particular quiz.. so, yeah, I'm doomed to have a low grade. But I was happy to know that 80% of our grade will be taken from our recitation. Weee!! I'm good at recitations in that class! cheers for me!! *claps*
This New BETA posting engine thingy is nifty and nice... claps for the tblog crew!!!
I spend my free hours at school alone. Am I turning introvert? Hell, what can I do? I don't like my blockmates... well, at least for now. They bore me... and I mean it, they're bloody boring (to the nth power). They're all so serious with their studies, in short, all are sooo smart!! Smart? Well, I'd rather use the word "knowledgeable" for them.. it is more applicable. Why? Take away their book and they're done, they're absolutely dependent on some books. Me? Oh, I'm just the average student, maybe worse than the average student.. I don't buy books, I don't bring books, I don't review too much - in short, I'm the sick easy go lucky type of student. At least I'm fun.. I don't bore people like the way they bore me. Am I just insecure? Well, I would admit that I'm often times insecure. But my insecurity is discriminating. It only shows up and eats a part of me when it comes to people I really look up to or someone who really deserves my insecurities. And none, aboslutely none of my present classmates is deserving of my insecurities. Besides, I still manage to achieve good grades and my professors think I'm beyond the usual. That was my professor's own impressions.. not mine, FYI.
See? I'm such a hater. Maybe the ol' saying is true, that "Ignorance is bliss". The more you know about life, the more you're unhappy about it and you'll have the more tendency to hate. The less you know, the more you're satisfied and happy. Disagree? Let me know.
"Contentment, is of course, relative. For me, it is not being satisfied with what you already have, but being happy for having what you got and improving or developing that something u have into a more beautiful thing." -kelstar

| My thesis intro... (incomplete) |
| 08.02.04 (9:44 pm) [edit] |
|
Thesis Statement “Same sex relationship is immoral and therefore, it should never be legalized here in the Philippines” Introduction Go to the mall, watch the T.V, read the newspaper or just observe the persons who roam around your classroom, I bet there’s someone out there who may seem to you a bit of different, someone who practice somethings you could never understand - someone who’s a member of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexuals, Trans-gender) community. Was it just a coincidence or an intimidating bite of reality?
We must admit it, that more and more of the Filipino people are becoming aware of their sexual preferences orientation (corrected by a no namer blog reader, thanks..). They’re beginning to realize that it’s not really the opposite sex they’re longing for or they want to hook up with. I’d like to think that this is just nothing but a trend, but sadly though, our past history doesn’t affirm to my conclusion neither the present time nods its head to agree with me.

 What's up with those people?
I'm beginning to hate people... those people who act as if they own the world, including your own world. People who befriend you just because it is beneficial for them to do so. Friendship, true friendship, is not like that. Friends are friends because they can be at their own selves when they're together. Well, I'm not my real self when I'm with them. It's like I have to bore myself with topics such as politics and religion when I'm with them. (Actually, I like discussing those kind of things, but not everyday and every seconds of my life, hello?!) They're not brainies (maybe they are, just maybe), i think they are more of nerdy wannabe's. They are used to bottling up their feelings so they end up frustrated and insecure (also add being a bit hypocrite sometimes). They think they're just made up of brains, and emotions for them is of no importance. Hey! I'm no drama queen, I'm just emotionally and intellectually balanced (is there a term like that?) unlike them. Oh.. whatever. Why worry about them? For sure, they simply won't care. Today, I will cut that thread that binds me from them. So much negativities surround my life already, they're just additional burden.
My real friends: 4Aers... though at times they hurt my feelings, I think I'm being hurt because of my pride. I expect so much respect from them that I forgot to think that I am a friend, not a sister or mother. I realized that I really enjoy being with them. They're the ones who accept my defects and appreciate my uniqueness. Hugs to all 4Aers!!
Oops! Time for my statistics class. I'm so busy, I can't make it a daily habit to blog. So sorry. d: :x

| my diminishing power |
| 07.30.04 (5:50 am) [edit] |
I am so tired today... don't ask me why, i don't even have enough energy to tell you why. But, ok, I guess I'll have to tell you why... Arrgghh!! I think I'm not just tired... I'm also beginning to lose my sanity!! I think that's the only thing left to lose... (does virginity counts? lol)
I'm wasting 4 and a half precious hours every tuesday and friday doing nothing while waiting for my last lone subject, P.E.. Well, those hours would be much enjoyable if only I have the money.. but hell, I don't have any. So, thanks to my new Smart I.D (brand endorser?), I'm already allowed to use my PAID 20 hours at the electronic library of my stupid school. Of course, it is not as enjoyable as being at home because we're not allowed to visit friendster neither we are allowed to chat. All we can do is to visit boring sites. But of course, I was there to defeat boredom so why visit boring sites? *grin*
Why Am I tired? I have so many problems, mostly financial. I don't want to talk about it, coz it makes me want to call myself teenage drama queen.. lol.
I'm so freaking depressed right now...
Bye//
